We chatted to Neil, ClinkClink’s Project Director, about our latest client event with Vaillant that was held at the Science Museum.
Neil has a passion for project management and a track record of turning visions into reality. With an extensive background in event planning and execution, Neil assumed the role of Project Director at ClinkClink, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence.
The Vaillant Event at the Science Museum
This year, Neil spearheaded one of our most ambitious projects to date—the Vaillant Event hosted at the renowned Science Museum. The objective was clear: create an immersive and memorable experience that not only showcased the Vaillant brand but also engaged attendees on a deeper level.
Neil talks about the decision to host this event at the Science Museum “The driver for the client was a flagship venue that drew people in as well as wanting to come to the launch. They wanted the venue to be a pull.”
Key Challenges
The scale and prestige of the Science Museum venue presented unique challenges. Neil and his team had to seamlessly integrate cutting-edge technology, captivating displays, and interactive elements to bring the Vaillant brand to life. Coordinating with various stakeholders, managing tight timelines, and ensuring compliance with museum regulations were just a few of the hurdles they faced.
Neil says “At all stages of event planning it’s a case of coming back and doing the work for the client, so that you’re presenting creative options as opposed to giving them.”

From incorporating augmented reality experiences to designing interactive workshops, every element of the event was meticulously curated to captivate the audience and leave a lasting impression.
When it came to combining the old with the new in this event Neil explained;
“The product that they were launching was a classic well selling product that they had honed and remastered, so that they were looking for classic things with a contemporary twist. We introduced elements that mirrored that, so we had nitro ice cream with weird and wonderful flavours.”

Under Neil’s guidance, the project team along with the clients internal team functioned as a well-oiled machine.
